Carbon Monoxide (CO)is a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas that is lighter than air that's produced during incomplete combustion of any fuel like, natural gas, charcoal, gasoline, kerosene, wood, gas, oil or coal. Common sources include: a vehicle running in an attached garage, furnace, clothes dryer, range, oven, wood burning stove, fireplace, water heater, space heater, portable generator, charcoal grill, etc. When a person is exposed to high levels of CO Gas it will make them sleepily and Low levels may make them feel like their getting a flu.

REDDCO® Inc offers both 120 Volt AC hardwired and 120 Volt AC Direct Plug-in Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarms with a just a CO Sensor; or with a Dual CO & Natural Gas Sensor; with a CO and Ion Sensor; or with a 4 in 1 Combo Alarm with both Fire, CO and Natural Gas Sensors. These Carbon Monoxide Alarms are designed with Battery Back-up incase of a power failure.

These Alarms have been approved and comply with the following regulatory agencies: Underwriters Laboratories (UL-US); Underwriters Laboratories Canada (ULC); California State Fire Marshal (CSFM), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and the Federal Housing Authority (FHA).

According to the NFPA Carbon Monoxide and Fire Alarms should be replaced every ten years because the sensitivity of the sensor deteriorates making it less effective. Batteries should be replaced once per year.

Wireless Carbon Monoxide Alarms for the Hearing Impaired

The Wireless Carbon Monoxide Alarm Kit for a General Living Area comes with one Carbon Monoxide Alarm Transmitter and one table top Carbon Monoxide Alarm Monitor-Receiver.

The Carbon Monoxide Alarm Transmitter is battery powered and attaches to an existing hard wired or battery operated Carbon Monoxide alarm. The Carbon Monoxide Alarm Transmitter senses when the existing Carbon Monoxide alarm goes off and sends a wireless signal up to 100 feet to the table top Carbon Monoxide Alarm Monitor-Receiver.

The table top Carbon Monoxide Alarm Monitor-Receiver plugs into a standard wall outlet and has a 170 candela strobe light and an adjustable 95 dB horn, it also has a backup rechargeable battery.

The Wireless Carbon Monoxide Alarm Kit for a Bedroom Area comes with one Carbon Monoxide Alarm Transmitter and one table top Carbon Monoxide Alarm Monitor-Receiver and a bed shaker that plugs into the table top Carbon Monoxide Alarm Monitor-Receiver.
